Whether you run a single domain controller or a Hyper-V cluster, the right Windows Server edition unlocks the features you need without overpaying for entitlements you'll never use. We stock the current LTSC releases — Windows Server 2025 (the newest) and the still-mainstream 2022 — in every edition, with matching User CALs, Device CALs and Remote Desktop Services CALs.

Standard is the right pick for physical or lightly virtualized boxes (2 OSEs per license). Datacenter unlocks unlimited Hyper-V containers and the full software-defined datacenter stack — shielded VMs, SDN, Storage Spaces Direct, hotpatching and GPU partitioning on 2025. Essentials gives small businesses up to 25 users on a single server with no CALs required.

Every key is a genuine Microsoft license, delivered digitally within 30 minutes of payment, with a lifetime activation guarantee. Volume orders ship the same business day.

Frequently asked questions

Server 2025 or 2022 — which should I buy?

2025 if you're standing up something new and want hotpatching (no-reboot security updates), GPU partitioning, native SMB over QUIC, and the longest mainstream support runway. 2022 if your environment is already standardised on it and you want the lowest entry price.

Standard vs Datacenter — which do I need?

Standard licenses one server with up to 2 OSEs (Hyper-V VMs). Datacenter allows unlimited OSEs on the licensed hardware and unlocks shielded VMs, Storage Replica without capacity cap, and Software Defined Networking. Rule of thumb: 12+ VMs on the host → Datacenter pays for itself.

Do I still need CALs?

Yes — every user or device that accesses Windows Server services (file, print, AD, IIS) needs a CAL. The exception is Essentials, which has no CAL requirement up to 25 users. RDS workloads additionally require RDS CALs on top of standard CALs.

User CAL or Device CAL — which model is cheaper?

User CALs win when users connect from multiple devices (phone, laptop, desktop). Device CALs win when multiple users share the same workstation (shift workers, call centers, kiosks).
