Ce que signifie l'erreur
L'erreur 0x80072F8F se traduit par SEC_E_CERT_EXPIRED. Votre PC a tenté d'établir une connexion TLS sécurisée avec activation.sls.microsoft.com et la validation du certificat a échoué.
Il existe exactement trois causes racines : l'horloge système est incorrecte, votre magasin de certificats racines est obsolète, ou votre réseau bloque le handshake TLS (pare-feu d'entreprise, DPI, DNS restrictif).
Correctif 1 — Corriger l'horloge système
Paramètres → Heure et langue → Date et heure. Désactivez puis réactivez « Définir l'heure automatiquement ». Vérifiez que le fuseau horaire est correct. Cliquez sur « Synchroniser maintenant » sous Paramètres supplémentaires.
Correctif 2 — Mettre à jour les certificats racines
Exécutez Windows Update — les mises à jour récentes incluent des actualisations de certificats racines. Si vous êtes derrière un proxy qui bloque les mises à jour, téléchargez le dernier rootsupd.exe depuis Microsoft et exécutez-le manuellement.
Correctif 3 — Vérifier le chemin réseau
Essayez l'activation via un point d'accès mobile. Si cela fonctionne en cellulaire mais échoue sur votre Wi-Fi professionnel, le pare-feu d'entreprise effectue une inspection TLS sur le domaine d'activation. Ajoutez activation.sls.microsoft.com et *.licensing.mp.microsoft.com à la liste d'autorisation.
- · Exécutez nslookup activation.sls.microsoft.com — doit retourner une IP Microsoft, pas 0.0.0.0.
- · Si vous utilisez un DNS personnalisé (Pi-hole, NextDNS), vérifiez la liste de blocage pour les règles de télémétrie Microsoft qui interceptent le domaine d'activation.
- · Désactivez temporairement le « scan HTTPS » de tout antivirus tiers et réessayez.
