Does Office 2024 work on macOS?+
Yes. Office 2024 installs natively on macOS 12 Monterey or newer on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
Will it keep getting security updates?+
Yes. Mainstream support runs to 13 October 2026 for Office 2021 and 9 October 2029 for Office 2024 — Microsoft delivers security updates monthly during this window.
Can I install it side-by-side with Microsoft 365?+
We don’t recommend it. Microsoft installers will detect a conflict and ask you to remove the other version. Pick one or the other on a given PC.
Do I need a Microsoft account?+
Yes — Office binds to a Microsoft account during activation so you can reinstall later. The account itself is free.
