Will SQL Server 2025 run on Windows Server 2019?+
Yes — SQL Server 2025 supports Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025, plus supported Linux distributions.
Is this a developer edition?+
No. We only sell production-licensed Standard and Enterprise SKUs. For free dev/test use, Microsoft offers a separate Developer Edition.
Can I move the licence to a new server?+
Yes — re-assign once every 90 days. Uninstall on the old server, install on the new one and enter the key.
