Wat de fout betekent
Fout 0x80072F8F vertaalt zich naar SEC_E_CERT_EXPIRED. Uw pc probeerde een beveiligde TLS-verbinding te maken met activation.sls.microsoft.com, maar de certificaatvalidatie mislukte.
Er zijn precies drie oorzaken: de systeemklok staat verkeerd, uw basiscertificaatarchief is verouderd, of uw netwerk blokkeert de TLS-handshake (bedrijfsfirewall, DPI, beperkende DNS).
Oplossing 1 — Corrigeer de systeemklok
Instellingen → Tijd en taal → Datum en tijd. Zet 'Tijd automatisch instellen' uit en daarna weer aan. Controleer of de tijdzone correct is. Klik op 'Nu synchroniseren' onder Extra instellingen.
Oplossing 2 — Werk basiscertificaten bij
Voer Windows Update uit — recente updates bevatten vernieuwde basiscertificaten. Als u achter een proxy zit die updates blokkeert, download dan de nieuwste rootsupd.exe van Microsoft en voer deze handmatig uit.
Oplossing 3 — Controleer het netwerkpad
Probeer activering via een mobiele hotspot. Als het via mobiel wel werkt maar op uw kantoor-wifi niet, inspecteert de bedrijfsfirewall het TLS-verkeer op het activeringsdomein. Voeg activation.sls.microsoft.com en *.licensing.mp.microsoft.com toe aan de toegestane lijst.
- · Voer nslookup activation.sls.microsoft.com uit — dit zou een Microsoft-IP moeten teruggeven, niet 0.0.0.0.
- · Als u aangepaste DNS gebruikt (Pi-hole, NextDNS), controleer de blokkeerlijst op Microsoft-telemetrieregels die het activeringsdomein treffen.
- · Schakel tijdelijk 'HTTPS-scanning' van antivirussoftware van derden uit en probeer opnieuw.
