Comprobaciones previas
- · Edición: Configuración → Sistema → Acerca de. Debe indicar «Windows 11 Pro/Enterprise».
- · TPM 2.0 habilitado en la BIOS. Confirme con: Get-Tpm en PowerShell como administrador.
- · Tipo de unidad: NTFS. ReFS y FAT32 no pueden cifrarse con BitLocker.
- · Destino de recuperación listo: cuenta Microsoft, memoria USB o impresora.
Activar BitLocker
Abra la administración de BitLocker
Panel de control → Sistema y seguridad → Cifrado de unidad BitLocker. Haga clic en «Activar BitLocker» para la unidad C:.
Elija cómo guardar la clave de recuperación
Guárdela en la cuenta Microsoft (nube) Y imprima una copia. Guarde el impreso en un lugar que no esté junto al PC.
Cifrar solo el espacio usado (para PC nuevos)
En una instalación nueva, elija «solo el espacio usado» — más rápido. Para PC que ya han almacenado datos, elija «toda la unidad» para que los datos eliminados pero recuperables también se cifren.
Elija el nuevo modo de cifrado (XTS-AES 256)
Es el modo predeterminado. Más seguro que el modo AES-CBC heredado. Mantenga el predeterminado a menos que necesite compartir la unidad con versiones antiguas de Windows.
Reinicie para aplicar
El cifrado se ejecuta en segundo plano tras el reinicio. Entre 30 y 90 minutos para un SSD de 1 TB. El PC sigue siendo utilizable.

BitLocker con TPM solo protege la unidad contra el robo simple — el arranque lleva a una pantalla de inicio de sesión y los datos están bloqueados. Sin embargo, un atacante sofisticado puede realizar un ataque de arranque en frío o de DMA sobre el SO desbloqueado.
Habilitar TPM + PIN exige el PIN en cada arranque. Los datos permanecen cifrados hasta que el PIN desbloquea el TPM. Recomendado para portátiles de alto riesgo (viajes, espacios públicos).
Si pierde la clave de recuperación
Sin la clave de recuperación, los datos cifrados con BitLocker son irrecuperables — ese es el objetivo. Microsoft no puede descifrarlos por usted. La clave de recuperación en su cuenta Microsoft sobrevive al formateo y la reinstalación siempre que la cuenta exista. Imprima una copia de seguridad el día que active BitLocker.
