Decida: ¿Outlook clásico o nuevo Outlook?
Office 2024 incluye tanto el Outlook clásico (.exe, con todas las funciones) como el nuevo Outlook (versión preliminar, más ligero). La configuración IMAP es sencilla en el clásico; el nuevo Outlook gestiona IMAP de forma diferente sincronizando a través de la nube de Microsoft.
Para Gmail e iCloud con requisitos estrictos de privacidad, use Outlook clásico para que el correo fluya directamente desde su proveedor a su PC.
Genere una contraseña de aplicación
- · Gmail: myaccount.google.com → Seguridad → Verificación en dos pasos → Contraseñas de aplicaciones. Genere una con la etiqueta «Outlook».
- · iCloud: appleid.apple.com → Inicio de sesión y seguridad → Contraseñas específicas de aplicación. El mismo proceso.
- · Yahoo, AOL, Fastmail: flujo similar de contraseña de aplicación en la configuración de la cuenta.
Añada la cuenta en Outlook 2024
Archivo → Agregar cuenta
Escriba la dirección de correo electrónico. Elija «Opciones avanzadas» y marque «Permitirme configurar mi cuenta manualmente».
Elija IMAP
Outlook ofrecerá Exchange/Office 365/IMAP/POP. Elija IMAP.
Introduzca la configuración del servidor
Gmail: imap.gmail.com:993 SSL, smtp.gmail.com:465 SSL. iCloud: imap.mail.me.com:993, smtp.mail.me.com:587 STARTTLS.
Pegue la contraseña de aplicación
Use la contraseña específica de aplicación del paso anterior, no su contraseña real de la cuenta.
Envíe un mensaje de prueba
Outlook ejecuta automáticamente una prueba de envío/recepción. Marca verde = listo.
Problemas habituales de IMAP
- · «No se puede conectar al servidor de salida» → puerto SMTP incorrecto o autenticación desactivada. Use siempre «Usar la misma configuración que el servidor de entrada».
- · Los elementos enviados aparecen duplicados → desmarque «Guardar copias de mensajes en la carpeta Elementos enviados» (Gmail los guarda automáticamente en el servidor).
- · Carpetas que faltan → es posible que haya que establecer la ruta del buzón raíz IMAP como «INBOX».
Preguntas frecuentes
- ¿Se sincronizará mi correo también con mi teléfono?
- Sí. IMAP está basado en servidor — cualquier cambio que realice en Outlook 2024 (leer, eliminar, mover) se sincroniza con todos los demás clientes IMAP conectados a la misma cuenta.
