Qué significa el error
El error 0x80072F8F se traduce como SEC_E_CERT_EXPIRED. Su PC intentó establecer una conexión TLS segura con activation.sls.microsoft.com y la validación del certificado falló.
Existen exactamente tres causas raíz: el reloj del sistema está mal, el almacén de certificados raíz está desactualizado, o su red bloquea el protocolo de enlace TLS (cortafuegos corporativo, DPI, DNS restrictivo).
Solución 1 — Corrija el reloj del sistema
Configuración → Hora e idioma → Fecha y hora. Desactive «Establecer la hora automáticamente» y vuelva a activarlo. Compruebe que la zona horaria es correcta. Haga clic en «Sincronizar ahora» en Configuración adicional.
Solución 2 — Actualice los certificados raíz
Ejecute Windows Update — las actualizaciones recientes incluyen renovaciones de certificados raíz. Si está detrás de un proxy que bloquea las actualizaciones, descargue el último rootsupd.exe de Microsoft y ejecútelo manualmente.
Solución 3 — Compruebe la ruta de red
Intente la activación con el punto de acceso de un teléfono móvil. Si funciona con datos móviles pero falla en el Wi-Fi de su oficina, el cortafuegos corporativo está inspeccionando el tráfico TLS del dominio de activación. Añada activation.sls.microsoft.com y *.licensing.mp.microsoft.com a la lista de permitidos.
